Dr. Maria Platsidou is a Professor of Lifespan Developmental Psychology in the Department of Educational & Social Policy at the University of Macedonia, Greece. She holds a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Development and has extensive research experience in studying the socio-emotional development of teachers and learners and other adults. Her research interests encompass emotional intelligence, subjective wellbeing, resilience, meaning in life, job satisfaction and burnout. She is the co-Director of the Center of Counseling and Psychological Support of the University of Macedonia. Additionally, she is an Associate Editor of the “Psychology: The Journal of the Hellenic Psychological Society” (indexed in Scopus) and a reviewer for several international academic journals. She has contributed to numerous international, European and nationally funded research projects, authored multiple research papers and presented her findings at numerous national and international scientific conferences.
