Dr. Kuen Yuen

She is passionate about inspiring students in finance at all study levels. She received the School’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2024 for her dedication to student learning and engagement. Before joining academia, Kuen worked at Colonial Bank, Fiji, brining valuable industry insights to her teaching and research. Her research has been published in leading journals, including Energy Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and the elected Manawatu Pacific staff representative on Pacific Staff Network. Kuen actively contributes to university and industry committees, including Amanaki STEM Academy.
