Mr. Takeshi Okada

Takeshi Okada spent over 20 years as Professor and Chair of the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies at Tohoku University. He worked as a Specially Appointed Professor at the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education and is now an Emeritus Professor at Tohoku University.  After working on the development of a Japanese-specific English spellchecker at Birkbeck College, University of London, his recent concern is the application of corpus analysis technology to EFL teaching in Japan.
